Installing the Pharos License Key

In response to increased security measures at many of our customer sites (i.e. blocked file types), we are now providing renamed license keys.

The attached file must be renamed to <site code>.zip prior to use. Please be assured that this file does not pose any increased security threat to your environment.

The Pharos license key is supplied in two files:

• One called ‘<SITECODE>.reg’
• One called ‘<SITECODE>.txt’

<SITECODE> is the Client Site Code: an eight-character alphanumeric code assigned by Pharos Systems, which uniquely identifies your site.

This is a text file that describes the license parameters. It can be viewed with any text editor (such as Notepad or WordPad), and provides quick reference to the license parameters. It has no
technical significance, and is included for your information only.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR UPDATING LICENSE KEY INFORMATION

Once Selah Solutions LLC has received payment, you will be sent a new set of License Key files as above. To install the new License Key:

1.    Copy the new ‘.reg’ file from the email you received to the Desktop of the server running the Pharos Database and License Server.  You may also copy the file from your email to a floppy disk if you do not have direct access to the Pharos server.

2.    Run the '.reg' file by double-clicking on it. This will automatically update the registry with the new license information.

3.    Stop and restart the License Server (either from the Services manager, or by rebooting the machine). This will apply the new license information to your Pharos system and complete the process.

Check that the new license parameters have been applied in the License Limits context of Pharos
Administrator. This context is located under System in the main Context Tree.
