Extended Support:  We will respond to level 1, 2, and 3 support questions. At our discretion, we may review code and release Hot Fixes.

Mature Support:  We will respond to level 1 and 2 support questions, i.e. we will answer questions on product usability. We will not review code, nor will we make code changes or release Service Packs or Hot Fixes.

Retired:  At our discretion, we may respond to basic support questions; however, no advanced support, code changes, or Service Packs will be provided. You will be advised to upgrade to a Currently Supported product to ensure you receive full product support.


Can I give an allocation of free printing per user?

Yes, we can configure the software to offer free printing for per day, per week, per semester.

Can we limit the size of print jobs?

Yes, we can define a page count to limit the number of pages that can be printed. These limits can be enforced on a printer.

Can I debit user accounts from a central database?

Yes, even if users do not login we can identify them using "Pharos Pop-up" and debit from their account.

What if a user is unhappy with the quality of the print or the printer jams?

The Staff has the ability to override the system and release print jobs for the user at no cost.

We are not charging users to print, how would your product benefit us?

Our system will monitor/control the print job before it gets to the printer, the user will need to go to a Pharos Release Station in order to print there print job. This eliminates those unwanted print jobs left at the printer. Etc.

We already have a card system for our library/university, would our existing cards work with your software?

Yes, We are capable of working with a wide-range of magnetic/bar-code card readers and several online billing systems.

Can we utilize our current Wireless connection to printing?

Yes, We are capable of working with a wide-range of wire-less devices without loading any client software.  From either a student laptop, PDA's, Blackberry's etc.

Can we print without the aid of a print release station to connect to our third-party billing system Blackboard, CBORD, Diebold?

Yes, We are capable of working with your third-party billing system via custom scripting.  This will save you time and money on your release stations support issues.
